Night Safari
Saturday 03 March 2012

Come learn about eastern North Carolina’s owl species in this fun and factual evening program. The first half of the program will be spent indoors learning the unique natural history of owls, dissecting an owl pellet and seeing live owls up-close. After the classroom session we will load up in the van or truck for a spotlight safari drive on the property using red-lens lights. Along the way we may visit an active beaver pond to look for this elusive critter of the night. Come dressed for the weather, as only rain will cancel this program. Pre-registration is required and limited to 10 participants (No large groups, please.)
