Schedule of Events

 

The following schedule was for the 2020 event, but for planning purposes for next year, the site generally will have a variety of speakers, encampments, and battle reenactments.

Saturday events TBD

9:00am-5:00pm           Activities Open to the Public - FREE            
Visitors center, information tent, Friends of Bentonville tent, and gift shop tent open to the public. Re-enactor Camps and Sutlers open to the public.         

9:00am-4:30pm           Harper House Area open to the Public - House Tours, Civil War Era Medical Displays, and 19th Century Domestic Life Demonstrations.

9:30am-10:15am         Wade Sokolosky - The Battle of Wise's Fork (Activities Tent)

10:30am-11:15am       Mark Smith - The Battle of Averasboro (Activities Tent)

11:30am-12:15pm      Dr. Mark Bradley - Battle of Bentonville Day 1 (Activities Tent)

12:30PM-1:15PM       Carolyn Cole - The Cole Family of Bentonville (Activities Tent)

1:30pm-2:15pm          Dr. Angela Zombek - Civil War Prison Camps (Activities Tent)

3:00pm-4:00pm          Battle - “The Fight for the Morris Farm”
**Any Remaining Tickets for the battle will be sold first come, first serve, at the Info tent until 2:30pm. Battlefield opens to the public at 1:00pm. A pre-battle Cavalry scenario will be presented at 2:00pm, and is included with ticket purchase.

10:30am-11:15pm       Mark Bradley — Battle of Bentonville Day 2 & 3 (Activities Tent)

11:30am-12:15pm       Dr. Chris Fonvielle - The Wilmington Campaign (Activities Tent)

12:30pm-1:15pm        A Conversation with the Cole Family of Bentonville

1:30pm-2:30pm          Battle — “Last Grand Charge of the Army of Tennessee and Morgan’s Stand.”  

** Any Remaining Tickets for the battle will be sold first come, first serve, at the info tent until 1:00pm. Battlefield opens to the public at 11:30am. A pre-battle Cavalry scenario will take place at 12:30pm, and is included with ticket purchase.
