Smithfield, NC (April 29th, 2016) - Double Barley is hosting their 2nd annual golf tournament to raise money for Relay for Life. Held this coming Friday, May 6th, at the Neuse Golf Course, the tournament begins with a shotgun start at 1:00PM.

Cheryl Lane, part-owner of Double Barley Brewing with her husband Larry, is excited to organize the event again this year, " The Neuse is a beautiful course, this is the perfect time of year to hit the links, with plenty of NC craft beer to drink.  It's going to be a great time."

The tournament is $75 per person to sign-up. Individuals are welcome but complete teams of 4 are invited to sign-up already matched. There will be $5 mulligans, a $100 hole sponsor, raffles, and of course a beer cart to make sure that golfers have some delicious Double Barley beer to help them take on the course. An after party will be held at the course with food being served and more beer.

Double Barley is known for their continuous and varied list of charities they host events for and donate money to. Cheryl's background in non-profit means using their success with the brewery to give back she says, "I lost my Dad to cancer, and my brother has successfully battled lymphoma.  We want to do our part to help Relay for Life find a cure. And, hey, if we can have fun doing it, with a round of golf and some craft beer, that's a party with a purpose."
