Free admission to the Museum, light refreshments, and reminisces of the Museum's 40 years of preserving a heritage and celebrating a way of life by sharing the history of small farming families in North Carolina. 40 years ago, it started with a dream. A dream to tell the story of the rural North Carolina farmer and their families. A story that would be lost if someone did not tell it. A story of tobacco and what it took to grow, harvest and sell. A story of the community of people who helped take care of the farmers and their families. A story to tell future generations who will never live the life of a farmer.
