Author Stephen Compton will be on hand to sign copies of his book, NORTH CAROLINA'S HILLSIDE POTTERY AND SMITHFIELD ART POTTERY, and will bring a sampling of his vast collection of Smithfield Art Pottery to display in the Johnston County Museum.

Visitors can also learn about NC Barbecue through a traveling exhibit, courtesy of the NC Museum of History, on display through mid-summer.
