"Raleigh native, saxophonist and composer Ron Baxter, is a constant presence on the Triangle Area music scene. His performance ability has led to national and international concerts including tours in Europe (various locations) and South America (Lima Peru Jazz Festival).

 

A firm believer in passing on knowledge, Ron has taught at Shaw and St. Augustine Universities in Raleigh and has been a featured guest artist at numerous entities including Red Hat, Downtown Raleigh Alliance, NC Museum of History, UNC-Chapel Hill Sonja Haynes Center, WUNC-TV Black Issues Forum, Raleigh Jazz Orchestra, Fayetteville State University and 88.9 FM Jazz radio. Baxter calls Raleigh his home while maintaining a performance schedule locally and abroad."
