The Town of Smithfield's Christmas is always held on the second Thursday in December, when people line Market Street to see the festive entries!

The Smithfield Parks & Recreation Department plans the parade, which marches down Market Street from Sixth Street to Second Street.  The Downtown Smithfield Development Corporation emcees the parade, announcing entries as they pass by.

Applications are due by December 2nd at 5pm. If you register after that date your entry is not guaranteed and there is a $10
