Fall Festivals in Full Swing Soon

It's National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and Old North State Food Hall in Selma, NC is dedicating one of their two meeting rooms in the Long Leaf Tavern for anyone to drop in and write during the month of November during their business hours.

The room seats up to 20. Participants can spread out in the tavern and hall. Free WiFi is available. No purchase is necessary, but there is access to food and drink from 10 international food vendors. Free pens, composition books or other small giveaways will be offered throughout the month.

Author Carol Dougherty is signing up volunteers from Triangle East Writers and regional members of the North Carolina Writers Network to welcome writers. If no one is in the room, there will be an information sheet available for participants.

Go to www.nanowrimo.org to register your writing project. You don't have to participate in NaNoWriMo to be a part of the Write-In. All writers are welcome to write in community!
Scheduled days and times:
Kickoff is Nov. 1 from 10 am to 3 pm.
Nov. 2, 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, 13, 15, 16, 17, 20, 27, and 29 from 10 am to 3 pm.
Blaze of Glory ending celebration is Nov. 30 from 10 am to 3 pm.
Exit 97 off I-95 is the most direct way but Exit 98 will get you there too!
