Travelers spent more than $36.7 billion on trips to and within North Carolina in 2024. That year, approximately 40 million person-trips were taken in the state, earning North Carolina a #5 ranking in the most visited state in the U.S.

Visit NC is North Carolina’s official state tourism office, promoting the entire state—including Johnston County! Their mission is to unify and lead the state in positioning North Carolina as a top destination for travelers and film production while maximizing economic impact across the state.

The JCVB team regularly partners with Visit NC’s programs to showcase Johnston County through national media, marketing campaigns, and outreach initiatives.
