I lived in Johnston County for 51 years before moving to a different state. Even though all of their food is delicious their egg roles were my favorite. I think crickets may be one of the things I miss most.
Crickets Grill is a hidden gem in Smithfield. They have the best hot dogs and burgers around, not burned or waterlogged just plain ol good.They are quick and courteous,and let's not forget about friendly. If you ever travel through Smithfield stop in and get something good to eat. They also pork chops ,egg rolls etc. They have something for everyone..

Great hotdogs and even better egg rolls. Takes cash only but not super expensive. Service is great and easy. Does not have an area to eat so take out unless you eat in your car. If you come to Smithfield you have to eat here and you will not be sorry.Seriously!! Get the egg rolls!
