Benson is home to the largest festival held in Johnston County -- Mule Days celebrates our agricultural heritage with mule judging and race events, music, vendors, food, carnivals, and rodeos every September. Benson has one of the most charming downtowns in North Carolina with special events, parks, shopping, and dining. If you travel with your pets, you will find the Benson Dog Park conveniently located to the Hampton Inn, which is also dog-friendly.

Enjoy a beverage on the Beer, Wine, and Shine Trail at Fainting Goat Brewing Co., Broadslab Distillery, or Gregory Vineyards, then spend a night out at GALOT Motorsports Park for a little adventure in your life!
