For the authentic experience and history of moonshine in Johnston County, visit Broadslab Distillery, North Carolina's first farm distillery. The distillery is open Thursday 3pm-10pm, and Friday & Saturday from 12Noon-10PM.Tours and tastings are given Friday & Saturday at 12PM, 2PM and 4PM. During tours, visitors will learn about the all natural, handcrafted, premium products and how they are made "from dirt to bottle", by fifth generation distiller Jeremy Norris. Handcrafted products for sale are: Broadslab Bourbons & Whiskeys, Broadslab Legacy Shine, Broadslab Legacy Appleshine, Carolina Coast Spiced Rum, and Carolina Coast Silver Rum. Visitors can purchase bottles of whiskeys or rum from the gift shop to enjoy at home, as well as beer, wine, and mixed beverages (including Broadslab cocktails) at the Broadslab Bar.
Tour cost is $15.00 and includes tasting and shot glass. Must be at least 21-years old for tastings. There are AIRBNB's on site.
