Details
The historic Atkinson's Mill was built in 1757 and except for a disruption due to a fire, the mill has been in continuous operation. In 2019, the mill was honored with an historic marker noting its importance to the community, and four generations of Wheelers were there to accept the marker.Tours of Atkinson Mill are available for groups; appointments must be made in advance by calling the office. Groups will learn about the history of the mill, which has been in operation for more than 250 years, then stop by the office where high-quality products are for sale. Tours are FREE. Allow one hour for planning purposes. Tours are available only during the week, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
