Johnston County's first legal brewery opened in 2013 just outside the downtown district of Clayton, in a re-purposed textile manufacturing plant. Today visitors enjoy a variety of craft beers, many that use locally grown raw materials like white sweet potatoes and watermelon.

Open Wednesday to Sunday, the brewery offers visitors a variety of food trucks, special events, and live entertainment.

Visitors to the brewery can buy cans of product directly from the tap room. Also available are beer accessories like glassware, t-shirts, and gift cards.

If you want to have a great party, Deep River offers meeting space for you to celebrate any occasion.
