Located on Buck's Pond near Smithfield, NC, Sherman's Retreat is less than 2 miles off I-95 and just yards from where General Sherman and his troops were camping when they learned of General Lee's surrender at Appomattox Courthouse to end the Civil War. The space

Situated down a short path, the cabin offers 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a comfortable living room, a full kitchen, and a 200 sq ft screened-in porch overlooking a 3-acre pond. The entire cabin has been recently renovated to offer all of the comforts of home. Wi-fi is provided.

Guest access

Guests have full use of the cabin and the grounds; there is a walking trail around the pond, and you may fish the pond as well! We practice catch and release only

We have a Blackstone and a Gas Grill under the porch as well. Food Lion and other grocery stores are just 2 miles away.
