This school building c. 1913, showcases school memorabilia from 1903-1969. The Smithfield High School Museum consists of a single preserved classroom where artifacts and memorabilia are displayed. There are copies of the school's yearbook, The Shield (1950-1969), copies of the school's newspaper, the High Times (1938-1969) and trophies won by SHS athletes over the years. In addition, more than 40 large "story boards" covering the school's history, with lots of "remastered" old photographs, are mounted on walls lining the halls of the Glenn Building's main floor and the top floor above it.
If you have friends and family from Smithfield, they will love the look back at Smithfield's history at the old high school.
