Take a stroll along the Neuse River Walk in historic Smithfield's Town Commons park established by the town's founder, John Smith, in 1777.Watch nature, go fishing, or picnic along the Neuse River. The amphitheater is the site of the Annual Smithfield Ham & Yam Festival and is available for concerts and special events. A boat ramp is located nearby at 200 N. Front Street.
