This historic auditorium was built as the Benson High School in 1918, and was renovated in 2000 to become the community's performing arts and gathering place. The venue has been the setting for many pageants, plays, musicals, and variety shows.

The W.J. Barefoot Auditorium has a seating capacity of 334 and is home to the Benson Little Theater which has multiple productions throughout the year.
