For sure the best location for overnight accommodations, is the Smithfield area to be close to the Carolina Premium Outlets. You can hub out from here to some of our other specialty shops and deals you don't want to miss. Smithfield offers several national brand hotels, with several participating in the Girls Weekend packages.
 

Suggested 48-hour Shopping Itinerary

Shops all throughout the county open at 10am or 11am, so you have some time to arrive here as stores open, or arrive the night before and have a relaxing morning and get coffee and breakfast. One of our favorites in Downtown Smithfield is The Gilded Pear -- get a specialty coffee and crepe with fruit! We suggest you consume some calories for the day of shopping ahead!

Day One

10:00am         Shopping at Carolina Premium Outlet
Before your visit, go to the About page and sign up to be a VIP Discount Shopper to get digital coupons around the center. Carolina Premium Outlets is Eastern North Carolina's premier shopping destination. You'll find more of what you're looking for with over 80 stores, featuring upscale outlet stores including adidas, Aeropostale, American Eagle, Carolina Pottery, Coach Outlet, Chico's, Crocs, J.Crew Factory, Michael Kors, NIKE Factory Store, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, Sunglass Hut, Talbots Outlet, Under Armour, and many more. Carolina Premium Outlets, an easy to navigate, outdoor shopping experience, has quick dining options including Auntie Anne's Soft Pretzels and Dairy Queen.  For planning purposes we suggest allowing 2-3 hours of shopping, and having lunch at the center or in the surrounding dining options at the outlets.

2:00pm           DeWayne's is so much more than a Garden Center

Shop this award-winning, nationally-recognized garden center. Find all your favorite seasonal blooms the outdoor living section, which is home to the largest selection of cast stone fountains, statuary, & containers. The gift shop is a large and unique shopping experience offering multiple brands! The Boutique at DeWayne's features designer fashions, footwear, handbags & accessories. New to DeWayne's, grab some delicious fudge or an ice cream treat at the Sweet Shop while you browse.

4:00pm          Time for a break at Hinnant's Winery

We suggest you add in a wine tasting to round out a very busy shopping day. Celebrate your finds, relax, and taste a variety of wines a the largest muscadine vineyard in North Carolina with over 100 acres. The Hinnant Family has dedicated countless hours into cultivating the best quality muscadine grapes in the state. From their dry white and reds to the traditional sweet scuppernong grape, they catch a spectrum of flavors in their internationally award-winning wines.

Stop by the tasting room and gift shop to buy your favorite Hinnant wines, fruit juices, jellies, and specialty foods. You will also find unique wine related gifts and decorations for your home.

Day Two

10:00am        Discover Downtown Adventures

You could continue outlet shopping, but we suggest you venture out to the Downtown shopping areas of Smithfield, Selma, or Clayton. Our communities offer very walk-able shopping districts with antiques, home furnishings, and boutiques for one-of-a-kind items. You will find a variety of local dining options in each downtown for lunch, and we hope when you return home you will plan another trip to shop, explore and stay with us. As we say in the South -- don't be a stranger!
